• And how about our pets and Christmas?

2/3 of Czech households have a dog or a cat, sometimes both and sometimes more than one of each. Not to mention other animals. And since we love our four-legged and other-legged roommates, we don't forget about them even at Christmas.

And what do furry family members get?

Mostly treats and various snacks (70%). 43% then find a new toy under the tree. A fifth (18%) will get better food, although it's hard to say if it's of their choice. The luckiest tenth will then get a new pet bed for Christmas - the new bed of the hoomans is not included.

Even so, in 19% of households, the poor four-legged creatures do not get anything for Christmas. They are mostly households where Christmas is generally not observed or enjoyed much, and more often it’s the older generation from smaller villages and towns.

Where to enjoy the best four-legged Christmas?

If you are a stray dog and you would like to experience a nice and above all rich Christmas, take it straight to the big Czech cities, preferably to Prague. Here, the pets are given the most. Ideally, choose some younger city dwellers. And when you run into college-educated people, you can be almost certain to find an abundance of treats and toys under the tree.
